Melissa continues to pursue a lifelong passion for Ballet and Modern dance. She started training at Sinclair Academy of Performing Arts with Gina Sinclair, Arabella Martin, Dana Fry, and Roberta Waal at the age of 8. She went on to work with Maureen Eastick at Pacific Dance Centre. Melissa trained through the Royal Academy of Dance in Ballet completing every exam to Advanced 2 with high distinction. Upon graduating Melissa danced at the Banff Centre of the Arts, where she recieved the Apprentice Scholarship in ballet. In Banff she worked with a number of notable teachers and choreographers, such as Susan Toumine, David LaHay, Annette av Paul, and Brian MacDonald. She then continued her training in the Pre-Professional program at the School of Alberta Ballet. Melissa is thrilled to be part of Boston Dance Collective this year to share her love of dance.
