Kristen has been dancing since the age of three and has enjoyed many forms of dance, including tap, jazz, modern, hip hop and ballet. She has danced competitively since the age of six, winning numerous awards and scholarships. Kristen has trained at BroadStreet Dance and has also worked with tap masters such as Mark Goodman, Michael Boston, Jason Samuels Smith, Danny Nielsen, Jim Hibbard and Dianne Walker. Kristen has developed a passion for choreographing dances for group numbers and solos. In 2008 and again in 2009, she was selected as 1 of 60 North American dancers to participate in the Tap Kids Summer Intensive Program in New York City. In May 2010, she received her Tap Associate Teaching Certification from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. Kristen graduated from the University of Victoria in the Spring of 2014 with her Bachelor Of Elementary Education degree. She is currently teaching grade 5 as well as grade 7 dance at Pacific Christian School this school year.
