I began dancing at the age of four in Calgary, Alberta in ballet and jazz classes. Shortly after moving to Ottawa, I began dancing competitively, and expanded my training into contemporary, tap, modern, and even a little hip hop. I trained with The Studio School of Dance in Ottawa, and attended Canterbury Arts High School, where I trained in dance every day, and achieved my Fine Arts certificate with distinction. I attended Queen’s University and the University of Victoria where I continued dancing and teaching with the Queen’s Dance Club, the Queen’s Competitive Dance Team, and the UVic Dance Company.
Through my training, I’ve been able to work with a variety of techniques including ADAPT for jazz and tap, Royal Academy and Russian Academy for ballet as well as experience working with Cecchetti and Vaganova techniques and Graham, Horton and Limon modern techniques. I was also lucky enough to travel and attend workshops in Montreal, Toronto and New York City where I worked with choreographers from Canada and the United States.
I’ve been teaching dance since I was 16, and have worked with all age groups and abilities, from toddlers to adults, beginners to advanced, and loved every minute of it. I’m so excited to work with the wonderful team at Boston Dance, and to continue teaching and sharing my love of dance!
