Families and Dancers,

It is with a heavy heart we are sending this email. Following the order of Dr. Bonnie Henry, BC Provincial Health Officer, banning all mass gatherings of more than 50 people until June 1, 2020,  Boston Dance classes and all studio operations are cancelled until further notice.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
We are taking the current pandemic very seriously. The health and safety of our Families, Dancers and Community is our top priority. In an effort to do our part and minimize the threat and spread of this virus we are taking necessary steps to keep everyone safe.

Effective immediately all regular programs and services are temporarily suspended until further notice. Our intention is to reopen and welcome our dancers back as soon it is deemed safe and we are authorized to do so. We are carefully monitoring the situation and will inform our Families of any updates as they become available.

CLASSES
All classes for the remainder of the dance season (April and May) are suspended until further notice.

FAMILY TUITION PAYMENTS – SUSPENDED
In an effort to support our families as much as possible all tuition charges have been suspended immediately. This means Families will not be charged for April 01, and May 01 unless the order is lifted and classes resume. You will not receive email receipts for this reason. All families will be issued an account letter via email (Payment Transaction Reports) from January 01, 2020 – March 31, 2020.

SUMMER CLASSES
Summer Intensive registration is temporarily suspended until further notice.
We anticipate reopening registration once conditions improve.

Y.E.S! 2020 ( Year End Showcase)  – May 28
Due to the Royal Theatre’s closure until June 1st,  The Year End Showcase has been cancelled. If the order is lifted and classes do resume, we will look at alternative performance options.

FESTIVAL / COMPETITIONS & EVENING OF DANCE
Festival/ Competitions – We are currently in contact with event organizers and will be updating those families affected as soon as possible.
Evening of Dance – Currently the Evening of dance is postponed until further notice.

We understand this news is disappointing. In the coming weeks we plan to offer what we can to keep our dancers and families engaged as much as possible (with the use of online tools for at home learning). In the event things change and we are given permission to proceed, we will be in touch. Please stay tuned!

Please take care of one another, listen and adhere to all Government guidelines and orders pertaining to virus prevention. And most importantly stay healthy and safe.

The Boston Dance admin team are here for support. Please do not hesitate to email with any questions you may have.

We are sending all our dancers and families a virtual hug!
